Pro Tips for Car Care and Living in Phoenix During Spring Training

Spring Training is finally here. You can almost hear the crack of the bat and the cheers of the crowd, and while pitchers and catchers report this week, games will officially begin. Whether it’s out to see the Dodgers and White Sox at Glendale’s Camelback Ranch, a Giants or Diamondbacks in Scottsdale, or even if you’re a bandwagon Cubs fan trying to figure out how to get to Mesa, there’s a lot to know about how to get around Phoenix during the Cactus League’s spring training season.

The Auto Shop is here to help, whether it’s car care and maintenance in Phoenix or even a little advice from the locals

For starters (no pun intended), hotels and rental cars are going to be at a premium. If you’re visiting from out of state to follow your team as they figure out their rosters, you might try checking sites like AirBnB or even craigslist for a short term rentals, as they might be cheaper and more convenient, especially for sharing with multiple people or for better parking options.

And while it’s not as sentimental, most team merchandise items can be found online for a lot cheaper than they’re priced at the stadiums.

Keep a lookout for exotic cars in and around Phoenix – players love showing off their rides during spring training

If you see some kind of crazy Lamborghini or lime green lifted truck in the area of one of the stadiums, there’s a good chance it’s a player driving it. It’s not altogether unheard of to run into one of the better-known players in and around Phoenix during this time of year.

The 2017 Spring Training season is sure to be a lot of fun, and with all that Phoenix has to offer between games you have to try pretty hard to run out of ideas. Whether you’re downtown for entertainment, in Scottsdale for golf, or somewhere in between for world-class dining and entertainment, The Auto Shop can keep you on the road at affordable prices. And with many repairs under warranty, we try our hardest to be among the very best in mechanic shops and auto repair in Phoenix, AZ
